PENGERTIAN DAN FUNGSI SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Simple present digunakan untuk menyatakan :
- Kebiasaan sehari-hari yakni kebiasaan/kegiatan yang dulu dilakukan, sekarang dilakukan, besokpun masih akan dilakukan.
- Menyatakan kebenaran umum atau general truth.

RUMUS SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

• Kalimat Verbal (Kalimat yang subjeknya melakukan pekerjaan)

(+)  S + V1 (es/s) + O
(-) S + do/does + not + V1 + O
(?) Do/does + S +V1 + O?

Aturan :
- V1 (es/s) dan does digunakan jika subjeknya he, she, it, dan nama khusus untuk 1 orang.
- V1 dan do digunakan untuk kalimat yang subjeknya they, we, i, you (bisa dihafalkan dengan AYU DEWI G' DOYAN ES)

• Kalimat non verbal/nominal (Kalimat yang subjeknya tidak melakukan pekerjaan)

(+) S + is/am/are + ANA (Adj, Noun, Adv)

(-) S + not + is/am/are + ANA (Adj, Noun, Adv)

(?) Is/am/are + S +  ANA (Adj, Noun, Adv) ?

Aturan :

- Is digunakan untuk subjek he, she, it

- Am digunakan untuk subjek I

- Are digunakan untuk subjek they, we, you
